Here are 110 new fabrics to drool over and order online. Introducing the new 840 mottle series – 18 beauties. I have for many years been a fan of the 839 mottles. In fact the Hoffman staff dubbed me the “839 Lady” 8 years ago because I am obsessed with keeping them in stock. We do the same with the 885 dots and of course, 360 1895 Bali handpaints. These 4 lines are the foundation of all Hoffman Bali batik projects. There is no a swatch card for 839 or 840 because there would not be a representation of the colors in a two by two inch piece of fabric. Instead we are offering a fat quarter collection of all 18 840′s. Here are the headers as the talented Hoffman designers present them. As always I’ve labeled them for you so you can find them easily online. They can also be found easily by clicking the link to “New Hoffman Fabric” in our left hand navigation pane. Enjoy! Cookie
Hoffman has introduced pre-cut squares of their Bali batik fabrics. Snaps are 5 inches and Crackers are 10 inches. The fabrics in each set are in the same 40 fabrics that are in the new 5G Bali Pops. The design possibilites are endless. We will supply our very popular color identification charts with the squares as we do with Bali Pops. Delivery is promised for September but I am hopeful that we will have them sometime in late August. We will offer them bundled with the Bali Pops in each of the same colorways as well as individually and in collections of all 6 in each size.
Here are Geoff’s new photos of the 5G Bali Pops. I think there is more contrast in these strip sets than we have had in the past. The longer I work with these incredible fabrics, the more I realize the importance of contrast in our quilts. I can’t wait to see the quilts made with these fabrics! Here are Brown Sugar, Macaron, Parfait, Rum Raisin, Tiramisu and Wild Berry.
Welcome to our very popular and easy way to see all the newest wonderful Hoffman Bali batiks. This is the way the designers co-ordinate the fabrics. It makes it very easy to scroll through all 73 new ones. When you find a fabric you want, jot down the number and color. Type it into the search box at http://www.batiksplus.com. You can even search by a color name – for example – Pacific – to see everything Hoffman calls “Pacific”. Your search will recall fabrics from other seasons as well. You know that when you select a Hoffman Bali batik you are buying the best the world has to offer plus 10 percent more fabric free from BATIKS PLUS!
It’s that time again. We are excited to give you a fast and easy way to preview the 275 new Bali styles from Hoffman. This feature is very popular. I’m glad you like it. The first 33 show the Bali’s in color coordinated groupings. The last 9 feature the new this season Bali Woodprints. All are available on our site and easiest to find by searching a color name or series number. You can also scroll through them using the Hoffman fabric link in our left hand pane and them selecting “chops”. There are 23 new 839 Mottles as well making our total 92. Thirty two are Retired but available in limited quantities. There are 17 new 885 Dots, too. There is an 885 or 839 that will “go” in any quilt! Enjoy!
The next nine are the new Bali Woodprints J2349 through J2354 – very different but wonderful! I hope you like them.
We just received our shipment of 222 better than ever new Hoffman Bali’s. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by them. There are more new mottles this season than we have had in years. Some of the headers are too big to scan. The fabric repeats only twice and the stripes run crosswise from selvage to selvage. You can find them online by searching the mottles or by number. Look at H131-134. Some have already been retired because they are so difficult to produce. I don’t think they will last long. Landscape design quilters should not miss them.
We have 8 new 839 mottles (It’s about time!), 4 more fabulous 885 dots, new colors in C252, E237, F2022, G2186,7,8 and 9. If you think it makes browsing new ones more difficult, imagine what it did to our warehouse shelves. Andrew spent two weeks reorganizing to make room for them.
Here are the designs grouped by the Hoffman Design Team. The colors coordinate perfectly. It’s like having the quilt designed for you. Enjoy!
